Who can use the computer lab?Chiles Building

The UO Business College computer lab is available to the following students:
  • UO Business undergraduate majors and minors (PBA, BADM, ACTG)*
  • MBA and MAcc graduates students
  • Students currently enrolled in at least one business course (ACTG, BA, BE, DSC, FIN, MGMT, MKTG)
*Note to undergraduate majors and minors - during summer term you must be enrolled in at least one UO class in order to access the computer lab.


How to activate your BTC account

Undergraduate Students
BTC accounts for undergraduates must be activated/re-activated EVERY TERM.

Instructions:

  1. Go to the computer lab at 326 Chiles.
  2. Find the registration PC.  It is located next to the front desk under the "Start Here" sign.
  3. Type in your student ID number (95XXXXXXX).
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions until you are prompted to enter a username and password.
    • Username: Your Duck ID (the beginning letters of your uoregon email address - everything before the @ symbol).
    • Password: Every term your default password is the last 6-digits of your student ID number.
  5. Click "Finish".
Graduate Students
See the front desk consultant in order to activate/re-activate your BTC account.


How to get help

BTC front desk consultants are located in the reception area of the BTC computer lab and can help you with the following tasks:
  • Activating your BTC account.
  • Assistance with minor software questions.
  • Adding funds to your BTC printing account.
  • Resetting your BTC password.
  • Troubleshooting BTC lab equipment malfunctions.

Accessing UO Business servers from home

We receive many requests to access our servers from home computers, and have prepared handouts that discusses how to do this, For PC's and Mac's. The documents are in Adobe Acrobat format. If you don't have Acrobat, you can download it from Adobe's website.
