The Oregon MBA - Admissions


Application Process

In order to review your application it must be complete.  An application is not considered complete until all of the materials listed below have been received.  Within approximately three (3) weeks of submitting your application, you will receive an email if anything is missing from your application file.  In addition, you will receive an email confirmation once your application is complete.

A completed application consists of:

1.

UO Graduate Admission Online Application and non-refundable $50.00 application fee

UO online Graduate Admission Application 

The major to select is: General Business – Oregon MBA

Oregon MBA applicants may only apply for the following admission term: FALL 2010.

Applicants must pay the non-refundable $50.00 application fee by credit card at the time the UO Graduate Admission Online Application is submitted.

2.

Online Oregon MBA Application (Embark online only)

The online Oregon MBA application, hosted by Embark, provides additional information that is needed to complete your application for the Lundquist College of Business Masters in Business Administration.

3.

Three (3) 500-word essays (Essay questions provided through the Embark online application.)

4.

Two recommendations (Embark online only)

At least one of the recommendations should come from an employer. (No relatives, family friends, or clergy, please.) Recommendations may also be mailed to the above address.

5.

Up-to-date resume (Embark online only)

6.

Official GMAT score report

Pearson/VUE institutional code for the Oregon MBA: KSQ-5N-27.  Note:  GMAT scores are only valid for five (5) years. 

7.

Two (2) sealed DEGREE transcripts

You must submit TWO (2) original transcripts from each college or university from which you obtained a degree. You do NOT need to submit transcripts for a University of Oregon granted degree.

Degree in progress. If you are presently pursuing a degree which you anticipate will be awarded AFTER your application is submitted, please submit an in-progress transcript for your application and then an additional official transcript showing the degree posted once the degree has been awarded. 

8.

One (1) official sealed NON-DEGREE transcript

Please submit ONE (1) official transcript from each college or university you attended without obtaining a degree. You do NOT need to submit a transcript for coursework taken at the University of Oregon



International Students

In addition to the above, all international applicants (i.e., non-US citizens or non-resident aliens) must submit:

Language Competency. 

Official TOEFL, IELTS, or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Score Report. Applicants whose native language is not English must show proof of language proficiency. The score report is valid for 2 years only. ETS must send a TOEFL score report to the University of Oregon, institutional code: 4846.

Exemption. Applicants who submit transcripts proving that they have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution or from Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom are exempt from the language proficiency requirement.

Degree in Progress. If you are pursuing a US or other exempt degree which has not yet been awarded, please submit your most recent TOEFL score report.

Two original degree certificates if separate from transcript

English translations of transcripts and, where applicable, degree certificates notarized by the issuing university. Click here for a list of countries where this requirement applies.



Interview

Once we've reviewed your application, we decide whether to interview you.  If so, we will contact you to arrange for a phone interview or campus visit.  If you have already made an official campus visit, another interview is usually not necessary.
