Alumni and Partners

Get Connected! There are many ways to get engaged with our students and faculty.

Hire a CSBP Grad

Looking for full-time employees or interns?  Our Career Services department is here to help you connect with exceptional candidates who combine deep classroom knowledge with strong experiential backgrounds.   Often, the first exposure a student will have to your business comes by way of ajob or internship posting.  Posting your position is a simple process.

  • Interviewing on Campus Conducting interviews at the green Lillis Business Complex is a great way to connect with candidates and get valuable exposure for your company.  To find out about the best time to conduct interviews on campus, please call Bill Sherman in the LCB Career Service Office, (541) 346-3696, wsherman@uoregon.edu.
  • UO JobLink is a searchable database of jobs and internships available to registered students and alumni.  UO JobLink reaches students of all majors, including business students.  To get started, visit the following link and follow the instructions for self-posting: http://uocareer.uoregon.edu/employer
  • BlackBoard is an intranet site for business students and we can provide additional coverage for your job or internship announcement by postingit there. In your announcement, provide a general job description, identify your target audience (major/concentration/year inschool), define the application process (resume/cover letter/onlineform), and mention any important dates (due date/start date). Send your job posting directly to Bill Sherman in the LCB Career Service Office, (541) 346-3696, wsherman@uoregon.edu.

Work with a Student Consulting Team

Companies interested in participating in either in class projects or StrategicPlanning Projects are always welcome!  Partners who have worked with our students in the past represent thevariety of businesses in the Pacific Northwest—small and large, forprofit and not for profit, manufacturing to service, public andprivate. If your company has an issue that could engage a student team, please contact Tom Osdoba, the Managing Director of the center, at tosdoba@uoregon.edu  or 541-346-3356 to explore possibilities.

Be an Executive in Residence

Each term the Center for Sustainable Business Practices hosts Executives-in-Residence.  These individuals spend several days on campus working with students and faculty in a variety of settings – classroom guest lectures, business plan evaluations, brown-bag seminar lunches, Club speakers, and research reviews. These Executives-in-Residence give generously of their time and insights to bring an active and real-world focus to the studies in our classrooms.   Our Executive-in-Residence program allows you to interact with our students and faculty, advise them of the challenges that await them, and be an active part of their learning.

Continue Your Lifelong Learning with Executive Education

The Lundquist College of Business offers companies throughout the Pacific Northwest executive and customized learning opportunities.  Like our program on campus, these executive education classes are designed to address your company’s specific needs – but continue our heritage of blending theory with the practical application of sustainable business practice tools.  The Center can work with you to design and structure a program that meets your needs.  Keep your staff up to date with the latest knowledge and skills!

Building Sustainable Management Throughout the Organization

If you are looking for a continuing education option, the University of Oregon’s Sustainability Leadership program offers another alternative. The program, based in the UO’s Portland campus, offers a series of non-credit workshops – again with the hallmark blend of theoretical foundation and practical application.  Participants who attend ten workshops will receive the Certificate of Completion in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Oregon.  The program was launched in 2003 and to date has served nearly 300 people from 250 organizations.
