Prospective Undergraduate Students

There are a range of activities on the University of Oregon campus for sustainability minded undergraduate students. The Lundquist College of Business has an active undergraduate student group that acts to raise awareness of sustainability issues. The Sustainable Business Group runs a full set of activities during the year and can be found on both Blackboard and Facebook.  The Sustainable Business Group is an undergraduate chapter of the national organization Net Impact.

We also have an International Business and Economics Club that works to provide students with the opportunity to actively explore the world in its growing interdependent state through hands-on projects and research related to business and economic development.

There is currently no formal concentration in sustainable business practices available at the undergraduate level, but the themes of stewardship, stakeholder relations and business ethics are addressed throughout many of our courses.  Many of our faculty incorporate hands-on projects with companies into their classes, some of which touch upon issues of sustainable business practices. These projects typically are part of a marketing, business planning, or supply chain operations class. View a PDF list of some of the In-Class projects completed by undergraduate classes.

If you are an undergraduate student who is particularly interested in this area, we can help point you to classes throughout the University of Oregon that can further your studies in this area.  Come and discuss this with the Undergraduate Program Office or Tom Osdoba, the Managing Director of the Center for Sustainable Business Practices, tosdoba@uoregon.edu
