Academic Requirements

Students' application packages are evaluated according to the whole package including essays, recommendation letters, and experience--not merely scores and grades. However, a GMAT score of 550 or better is preferred.

An undergraduate degree in accounting, or the equivalent, is required for admission to the MAcc.  See the link for Non-Accounting Degrees for additional requirements. 

For international students, a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (paper-based test) or 96 (Internet based test), or a minimum IELTS score of 7.5.

In order to review your application it must be complete.  An application is not considered complete until all of the materials listed below have been received.  Within approximately three (3) weeks of submitting your application, you will receive an email if anything is missing from your application file.  In addition, you will receive an email confirmation once your application is complete.

UO online Graduate Admission Application  

The major to select is: Accounting

Applicants must pay the non-refundable $50.00 application fee by credit card at the time the UO Graduate Admission Online Application is submitted.

·         Online Embark Application (Embark online only)

The online Embark application provides additional information that is needed to complete your application for the Lundquist College of Business Masters in Business Administration.

  Embark Online Application

·         Three (3) 500-word essays (Embark online only)

·         Two recommendations (Embark online only)

·         At least one of the recommendations should come from an employer. (No relatives, family friends, or clergy, please.) Recommendations may also be mailed to the above address.

·         Up-to-date resume (Embark online only)

·         Official GMAT score report

Pearson/VUE institutional code for the Oregon MBA: KSQ-5N-35.  Score reports are valid for 5 years only.

·         Two (2) sealed DEGREE transcripts

You must submit TWO (2) original transcripts from each college or university from which you obtained a degree. You do NOT need to submit transcripts for a University of Oregon granted degree.

·         One (1) official sealed NON-DEGREE transcript

Please submit ONE (1) official transcript from each college or university you attended without obtaining a degree. You do NOT need to submit a transcript for coursework taken at the University of Oregon

For international students:

In addition, all international applicants (i.e., non-US citizens or non-resident aliens) must submit

·         Official TOEFL or IELTS Score Report

Applicants whose native language is not English must show proof of language proficiency. The score report is valid for 2 years only. ETS must send a score report to the University of Oregon, institutional code: 4846. Applicants who submit transcripts proving that they have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. institution or from Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), Ireland, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom are exempt from the language proficiency requirement.

·         Two original degree certificates if separate from transcript
