The UO Minor in Business Administration is intended to give students who are majoring in other disciplines a solid introduction to business reasoning. Earning the minor will prepare you to participate in the managerial and financial decisions of any profession you enter or to set up and run an independent business or non-profit organization. Earning this minor will also help you get a better job after graduation.

Upon completing the minor program, usually about 70-85% of minor students report that the business minor increased their ability to get a good job after graduation. These are good odds.

Yes! a basic knowledge of business is helpful in any career, and believe it or not--a school, a performace hall, a science lab are businesses too. The business minor gives students the opportunity to understand how businesses are run. Also, if you ever want to do administrative work or run your own business or non-profit organization, a business minor degree will help tremendously.
