“We created the Securities Analysis Center to provide a vital pipeline of top talent into the finance and investment community, and we are involved to help make sure that happens. Every SAC Advisor is a founder and CEO and knows what it takes to ensure that our graduates are ready to lead.”

An Invitation to Visit as a Guest Speaker
| The Securities Analysis Center Guest Speaker Series is an opportunity for students and faculty to hear practitioners from the world of finance and business discuss their firms and strategy in light of current events. The series brings a range of industry leaders from around the country in as guest lecturers, featuring a question-and-answer format and open to the larger campus community. Guests are typically Chief Executives, Founders, and Presidents of their firms, and part of the broad network of industry support that the SAC enjoys. Talks focus upon the strategy underlying the firm's business model, and the impact of current events and conditions on the markets in which they operate.

The spectacular meltdown of financial markets beginning in Fall of 2008 and continuing throughout 2009 has been a tremendous opportunity to learn insights from senior leaders while it was all happening. Highlights have included the CEO of a sub-prime mortgage lender, a Managing Director from Merrill Lynch during the takeover by Bank of America, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Federal Reserve (Portland Branch), during the "Quantitative Easing" program, who each graced our guest roster with impeccable insights from the inside.
