Securities Analysis Center - Current Students
The Securities Analysis Center coursework emphasizes analytical rigor in both accounting and finance, to develop a strong and integrated skill set for the variety of financial professions. Quantitative techniques are combined with theory, case analysis, and discussion to develop a complete view from both the "top down" and "bottom up" perspectives.
The Securities Analysis Center curriculum incorporates several unique approaches:
- A strong and integrated emphasis on both accounting and finance users of financial data are at an advantage when fully understanding how the information is produced.
- An orientation towards global financial markets, especially the Pacific Rim economies standards and differences in cross-border financial analysis are stressed.
- Collaborative research and analysis using state-of-the-art data, software, and techniques our portfolio management suite is a dedicated area providing an integrated platform for all financial data and analysis.
- A flexible curriculum that accommodates the range of industries and career paths, including corporate finance, asset management, investment banking, accounting, risk management, and alternative investing.
