About the Lundquist College of Business

Overview

Since 1884 the Charles H. Lundquist College of Business has taught its students the critical skills they need to think for themselves, to be entrepreneurial leaders in a dynamic world, and to make better decisions on behalf of the people and resources they manage.

The Lundquist College of Business is housed in the Lillis Business Complex, recognized as one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in the United States.

Today, we are a top business school with a unique mission and vision that draws strength from our links to the Pacific Rim and the distinctive qualities of Oregon culture: innovation, sustainability, active lifestyles, financial stewardship, and respect for individuality and diversity within an increasingly global community.

Learning by Doing

At the heart of our vision and mission are our four centers of excellence, each highlighting our distinctive qualities and themes. These centers advance a "learning by doing" approach to business education (we call it experiential education), in which students work on real projects for real companies, gaining first-hand experience in their careers before they even graduate.

Book smarts are wonderful, but being able to apply theory in a practical way makes a huge difference.
The business world demands that, and the Lundquist College of Business delivers.

Departments and Programs

Our centers of excellence help you target your business education to specific niches. But it's our departments that provide the foundation of your Lundquist education. Whether it's an undergraduate degree, M.B.A., Executive M.B.A.Master of Accounting, or Ph.D., our departments in accounting, decision sciences, finance, management, and marketing deliver the disciplinary fundamentals for success and the research excellence that advances business knowledge.

Through this distinct approach to education, students graduate from the Lundquist College with an education that meets their personal needs, interests, and ambitions, preparing them to be among the most knowledgeable and motivated business leaders of tomorrow.
